2 - 4 - 6

This week at The Shabby Tea Room , the challenge is a '2 - 4 - 6' card: 2 patterned papers, 4 buttons and 6 layers. This was the inspiration:

So, this is my entry:

What I am really beginning to enjoy about card making is the way my cheeky 2 year old daughter now likes to sit with me and 'help'. She loves to be given small paper scraps to draw on and tries to use the ruler to measure just like Mummy!

Stamp: Scribble This (Stampin' Up)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Papers: Pear Pizazz DSP, Real Red DSP, Whisper White
Misc buttons and kitchen string.

Baby

So now that I've started, I think I'll enter another challenge!

This time, it's Baby at The Shabby Tea Room.

I made this card for one of the mother's group ladies in celebration of the birth of her second child, a son. I hope she likes it!

How exciting! This is my first blog entry into ANYTHING like this!

I hope you like it.

I have made this photo frame as a present for a three year old girl, so she can attach a photo of her friends from her party that my daughters and I have been invited to attend. For now, I have attached a photo of my daughter so you can see the desired effect!

The background is Pink Pirouette and Rose Red DSP (Stampin' Up!).

I have stamped the butterfly from the Whimsical Garden (SU) set three times - in Perfect Plum and Old Olive inks, and fussy cut two more over each - one from Rose Red DSP and one from vellum.

I have attached three Pink Pirouette brads to each butterfly.

See the three theme?!

I attached So Saffron (SU) ribbon to a wooden clothes peg, then attached three buttons (not SU, but pretty much Old Olive).

The border for the photo is Pink Pirourette DSP (SU) with three Rose Red (SU) brads attached to the bottom.

I have stamped the small lady bugs from Whimsical Garden (SU) three times in the top RHC with So Saffron (SU) ink.

The title has been made from some chipboard letters and numbers that I found lying around.
